Life through the lenses of our culture... Its Bigger Than Hip-Hop seeks to establish Hip-Hop’s legitimate/rightful position in the canon of Black music. Taking an anthropological approach, the project aims to view social and political phenomena through a modern scope allowing children of the Hip-Hop generation to place the music in its proper historical context. In a time of digital replication, the foundation of Hip-Hop music is the sample... Yet the knowledgeable still hold fast to the original records.
